Alex S. Bene

Alex S. Bene, 85, of Downsville, passed away on Friday morning, September 26, 2025 at his home following a long illness.

Born on December 7, 1939 in Franklin, NJ, Alex was the son of the late Alex and Elizabeth (Silver) Bene.

He proudly served in the US Air Force from 1957-1961. He worked as a shipping clerk for Johansen Manufacturing in Boonton, NJ.

Alex enjoyed watching sports, grilling on the BBQ and attending Airshows.

Besides his parents, Alex was predeceased by his children: Jessica Lynn Bene and John Paul Bene.

He is survived by his wife Deborah (Henderson) Bene of Downsville; son: Cory (Jaime) Bene of Downsville; grandchildren: Gabriellah Bene of Andes, Charles Clark of Downsville, Jonlyn Bene of Downsville, Siage Bene of Downsville and Braelyn Giles of East Branch; and a sister: Barbara (Bene) Parker of Blairstown, NJ
