Alfred A. Rogers

Alfred A. Rogers, 88, of Davenport, passed away on Thursday, February 6, 2020 at his home surrounded by his family. Born on May 12, 1931 in Ashland, NY, Alfred was the son of the late Allen and Mable (Case) Rogers. Alfred was a logger by trade, last working for Leatherstocking Logging in West Davenport. Mr. Rogers was married to Fay (Roe) Rogers, she passed away in April of 2009. He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting, fishing and all that nature had to offer. Alfred enjoyed operating his own family farm, raising his own food. He enjoyed reading, especially westerns. Alfred also enjoyed puzzles. His greatest passion was his family, he was a loving father and proud grandfather and great-grandfather. Alfred is survived by his children: Brenda Key of Jefferson, Alfreda Rogers of Charlottesville, Tina (Joe) LaTour of Davenport, Cynthia (Timothy) TerBush of Davenport, Patricia All of Jefferson and Marjorie (Steven) Mickel of Davenport; nine grandchildren: Stacy, Faith, Alford, Adrienne, Venessa, James, Steven, Cassandra and Faelynn; and several grandchildren.
