Andrew Poggioli

DAVENPORT CENTER Andrew Poggioli, 65, of Davenport Center, passed away Sunday, Sept. 23, 2012, at Bassett Healthcare, Cooperstown. He was born Nov. 23, 1946, in Brooklyn, the son of Bernard and Louise (Deitz) Poggioli. He married Diane Thorngren. Andrew had been a resident of Davenport Center since May 23, 1999. He was a disabled Vietnam veteran having served two times. Andrew was self-employed in automotive services and was restoring a 1951 and 1952 Ford Pickup. He loved car shows, yard sales and reading. He is survived by his wife, Diane; son, Christopher; brother Robert and his wife, Darlene of Virginia; brother, John of Illinois; and his beloved dog, Baby Girl; many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Memorial services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 27, 2012, at the Charlotte Valley Larger Parish, Route 23, Davenport, with the Rev. Carol Wilson officiating. There will be no calling hours.
