Angelo Zustovich

Angelo Zustovich, 78, of Stamford, NY, passed away on November 6, 2025, at Albany Medical Center, surrounded by his loving family.

Born on March 8, 1947, in Labin, Croatia, Angelo was the beloved son of the late Marijo and Marija Zustovich.

He is survived by his devoted wife of 39 years, Nirvana Zustovich, and his cherished children Robert (Leslie), Frank, Steven (Lindsey), and Angela (Jeffrey). He also leaves behind his adored grandchildren Nicholas, Alicia, Stephanie, Zak, Olivia, and Mila, as well as his dear mother-in-law Marija Frankola, and sisters Jolanda, Erminija, and Milica, along with their families. He is also survived by his best friend Donnie (Kathy) McDougal and his family, who held a special place in Angelo’s life.

Angelo was predeceased by his brothers Stefano and Josip, and his father-in-law Anton Frankola.

Family was always at the center of Angelo’s life. He was known for his loud infectious laugh, positive spirit, and unwavering generosity. A man who lived with his glass always half full, Angelo was the kind of person who would do anything to help family and friends—always welcoming, always ready to lend a hand.

A true hardworking man, Angelo worked as a carpenter and retired from Carpenters Local Union 157 in 2009. He took great pride in building a home for his family in 1997, creating a place filled with love, laughter, and countless memories. He enjoyed time with family and friends, hosting get-togethers, hunting, operating heavy machinery outdoors, and relaxing while watching football.

Angelo will be remembered for his kindness, his warmth, and the joy he brought to everyone who knew him.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to emergency services personnel, Cancer Center at FoxCare, and the staff at Albany Medical Center for their exceptional care, compassion, and support.

Calling hours will be held on Thursday, November 13th from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at MacArthur Funeral Home in Stamford, NY. A Mass will be celebrated on Friday, November 14th at 2 pm at Sacred Heart Church.
