Cameron Schafer

Cameron Michael Schafer

On the morning of February 5, 2026, Cameron passed suddenly of a medical emergency. He was a son, a little brother, a grandson, a nephew, a cousin, and a friend to so many. He had the nicest smile, the cutest dimples, and an infectious giggle. He was pure love and innocent mischief. Everyone who met him said the same thing, “What a sweet little boy.”

He loved monster trucks, hot wheels, dinosaurs, sharks, legos, catching frogs and salamanders in grandma and grandpa’s pond, and being one of guys at hunting camp. He was always outside, playing in the dirt and mud puddles, turning over every rock looking for bugs. One of his favorite places to go was Nana and Buelo's house to play with toys and the puppies.

He loved riding in the “bye bye side” with his Daddy, going fast, and doing donuts. He loved hanging out with his big brother Connor, eating big bowls of ice cream, jumping on the trampoline, and playing video games. He never forgot to remind Connor to “be good” each morning when he was getting dropped off at school.

Mommy was his whole world, she couldn't go anywhere without her little shadow.

His best friend and partner in crime was his cousin, Gunnar. They would play and battle like brothers with all their favorite toys and games for hours on end. They always managed to stay up way past their bedtimes sharing “chippies” and ice pops. They will always be best friends.

He will forever be Daddy's right-hand man and Mommy's little boy.

The stories that can be told of Cameron’s adventures and life are endless. He lived so much in such a short time because he lived his life with his whole heart.

We plan to host a Celebration of Life when the weather permits. Details will be sent out at another time, but plan on wearing his favorite color green, eating ice pops, catching frogs, and chewing giant wads of bubble tape.

In lieu of flowers, we are asking donations be made in honor of Cameron’s love for the outdoors to The Sheriff's Summer Camp at the following link:
