Cecelia Day

Cecelia A. "Angie" (McGrade) Day, 67, passed away on Thursday, May 22, 2014 at Albany Memorial Hospital after a brief illness. Born in Delhi, NY, she was the daughter of the late Lawrence and Marie McGrade. Angie retired from the New York State Office of the State Comptroller with over 25 years of service. She was a lover of cats, having sheltered many homeless felines. Angie loved her garden, cross-stitching, crocheting, and sewing. Besides her parents, Angie was predeceased by her brother Larry McGrade and sister Charlene Breen She is survived by two brothers: Francis "Mickey"(Sharon) McGrade of Delhi and Edward A. (Patricia) McGrade of Hendersonville, NC; several nieces and nephews including Tammy Soberiaj of Albany and Dorris (Ed) Doran of Remsen; as well as many friends. A Memorial Mass will be held at 11:30 AM on Friday, June 6th, 2014 at St. Peter's Church, 8 Franklin Street, Delhi, NY, with the Rev. Edward J. Golding officiating. Burial will follow at Woodland Cemetery, Delhi. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, One Penny Lane, Latham, NY 12110 or Mohawk & Hudson River Humane Society, 3 Oakland Ave., Menands, NY 12204 in Angie's name.
