Charles L. Koss

Charles L Koss (82) of Largo, FL and Harpursville, NY passed away July 1, 2025 at the UHS Wilson Medical Center, Johnson City, NY after a 2-year battle with cancer. 

He grew up in Hilton, NY and was predeceased by his parents Charles and Evelyn Koss. After high school he joined the Navy and was part of the Vietnam conflict as well as the Cuban Blockade, being honorably discharged from active duty in 1963. Charles was a lifetime member of the VFW and American Legion as well as a retired Assistant Chief of the Stamford Fire Dept. 

Charles was predeceased by: Son, Charles (Bud) Koss; Brother, Joe Koss; and Sister-in-law, Maria Faulkner.

 He is survived by: Wife of 45 yrs, Jean; Son, Michael Koss; Brother, Larry Koss; Grandchildren, Charles (Chaz) Koss; Nicholas Koss; Caleigh Koss; Great Granddaughter, Camryn Bush; Brother-in-law, Gordie Faulkner; Nieces, Sherrie Koss, Felisa Mestre, Elena Faulkner; Nephews, Damien Thorne, Jack Faulkner.

Burial Services will be held on Friday, July 11, 2025 at 12 Noon at the Stamford Cemetery, 2 Mountain Ave, Stamford, NY 12167. Donations in Charles name can be made to Helios Care, 297 River St Service Rd, Oneonta, NY 13820.
