Charles C. Oakley

Charles C. Oakley 82 passed away on June 9, 2024, after a long illness and brief stay at A.O. Fox Hospital.

Charles was the eldest son of Clifton and Grace Oakley.

He attended school in Grand Gorge. After school he enlisted in the Navy where he served from 1962 until 1966 when he was discharged. While in the Navy he was married to Joan Thorington.

He leaves behind 3 children, Andrea Doroski (David), Charles Oakley Jr (Sylvia) and Guy Oakley (Gina), 2 sisters, Jane Madore, Kathy Allie and several nieces and nephews. Also leaving behind 7 grandchildren, Ashley, Caitlin, Justin-Charles, Jordan-Grace, Melanie, Jake and Emily. 3 great grandchildren McKinley, Lanie and Dallas. Lastly his loving companion Iona Jones.

Charles was a kind, quiet and loving man who loved his family very much. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
