Christine Fischer

Christine Fischer, 69, of Treadwell, passed away Sunday evening, June 9, 2024 at AO Fox Memorial Hospital, Oneonta.

Born on February 14, 1955, she was the daughter of the late Nicholas and Marion (Murray) Fischer.

Christine was a support worker with Delaware Opportunities. She worked with foster children for many years until her retirement.

She loved all animals and pets, especially her dogs: Spanky, George, and Scout, however, her greatest passion was her family, Christine was a loving mother and a devoted, proud grandmother and a friend to many.

Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her siblings: Richard, Mary Margaret, Stephen and Joseph.

Christine is survived by her children: Elizabeth Kievit of Treadwell, NY, Robert (Cyndy) Oliver of Virginia and Jennifer Polizzo of Long Island, NY; grandchildren: Abigail, Liam, Myla and Eleanora; along with several nieces and nephews. She will be deeply missed to all who knew her.

A memorial service is being planned and will be announced.
