Claire Gutliph

Miss Claire E. Gutliph, 25, of Daytona Beach, FL, formerly of DeLancey, passed away unexpectedly Thursday morning, March 30, 2017 at Hallifax Medical Center, Daytona Beach, FL. Born on February 21, 1992 in Oneonta, Claire was the daughter of Peter and Michelle (Simek) Gutliph. She grew up in the Delhi area and was a 2010 graduate of Delaware Academy, where she ran track and played field hockey and participated in numerous school plays and chorus. Claire was a vibrant and passionate young woman who loved art, she also enjoyed spending time with the beagles that her dad raised. Miss Gutliph was predeceased by her paternal grandparents: Warren "Buzz" and Mabel (Worden) Gutliph; her maternal grandparents: Douglas and Claire (Landry) Simek; and one uncle: Stephen Gutliph. Besides her parents, Peter and Michelle of DeLancey, Claire is survived by several aunts, uncles and cousins. Private graveside funeral services and burial will be held at the Hamden Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
