Clifford F. Mott, Sr.

Clifford F. Mott, Sr., 88, of Hobart, passed away Saturday, July 17, 2021 at Fox Hospital in Oneonta following a long illness. Born on February 4, 1933, Clifford was the son of the late Howard and Helen (Corbin) Mott. Clifford owned and operated the Mott Shop, a local auto and tractor repair shop in Hobart for many years until his retirement. Being a talented mechanic, Clifford enjoyed building doodlebugs (a modified truck used for farm and forestry work), he also was an outdoorsman, Clifford enjoyed small game hunting, fishing and gardening. He was married to Betty Mott who predeceased him. Clifford was survived by his sons: Clifford Mott, Jr. of Hobat and Keith (Maureen) Mott of Hobart; daughters: Melanie (Francis) Mott-Baltazar of Texas and Sandy Cooper of Virginia; grandchildren: Jacob, Joshua, Amanda and Mindy.
