Colin B. "Skip" Heath, Jr.

Collin B. “Skip” Heath, Jr., 79, of Stamford, passed away on July 29, 2025 at his home surrounded by his family.

Skip was born in St. Petersburg, Florida, on January 5, 1946, to Mary Jane (Warren) and Colin B. Heath. During his high school years, he spent summers working on Wickham’s Cauliflower farm in Stamford Township, where he fell in love with the area and explored his family roots. He graduated from the University of Florida (Go Gators!) with a degree in Building Construction Management, which launched a successful career in high-rise interior construction. His work took him to Atlanta, Orlando, St. Petersburg, and San Francisco.

On September 29, 1973, he and Patricia Walling were married in Stamford. The couple returned to Stamford in 1979, where they opened several businesses in and around the village during the 1980s and 1990s. Their most recent venture was It’s Five O’Clock Somewhere, which was sold in 2023. Skip and Pat raised two beautiful children, Lauren and Christopher, who continue to be pillars of love and support.

A dedicated community member, Skip was actively involved in the Stamford Rotary Club, the Stamford Historical Society, and the Stamford Rod & Gun Club. He was also an authority on antique Winchester rifles. Known for his kind words, storytelling, and hugs, Skip was always ready to share his warmth with those around him—bonus points if conversation included a Gator game or Yankee’s baseball.

He is survived by his wife Patricia; his daughter and family: Lauren, John, Heath and Shelby Patti; his son: Christopher; his brother: Gregory Heath; Barbara Wickham; the entire Walling family; and Ulla, Chanda, and Kim Misevis.

The family wishes to express their heartfelt gratitude to the Stamford community for their outpouring of love and support during Skip’s illness. The comfort it provided is immeasurable.

Friends and relatives are invited to call from 12PM to 2PM on Sunday, August 10, 2025, at the MacArthur Funeral Home, 15 Buntline Drive, Stamford, NY where at 2PM there will be a time of sharing and celebration of Skip’s life.
