Donald L. Tait

Donald L. Tait of Delhi, NY, passed away unexpectedly at his home on August 5, 2024.

He was the youngest son of the late Idabell and Howard Tait, born on the family farm in Terry Clove, he was a farmer by blood.

Donald worked on the family dairy farm for many years, he also worked as a sawyer for a sawmill in Downsville and retired in 2011 as a custodian at SUNY Delhi.

He enjoyed farming but his greatest joy was taking care of his beloved family.

Don is Survived by his wife of 56 years: Gloria (Kingsbury) Tait; his three children: Patricia Murphy, William (Michelle), and Alice Barnhart (Richard); five grandchildren: Christopher, Corey, Justin, Matthew and Kristine; eleven great-grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and cousins

Besides his parents, Donald was predeceased by two granddaughters: Casey in 1995 and Beth in 2000.

A funeral service will be held at 2PM on Saturday, August 10, 2024, at the First Baptist Church, Second Street, Delhi, where a calling hour will proceed the service from 1-2PM. Private burial will be on the Tait family lot at Paige Cemetery, Downsville.
