Donna Torma

~Donna H. Torma, 72, passed away on Tuesday, October 24, 2017 at Albany Medical Center following a brief illness. Born on December 8, 1944 in Delhi, Donna was the daughter of the late Harvey Hafele and the late Frances(Cobbe) and Robert Decker. A proud 1962 graduate of Delaware Academy, Donna kept a close relationship with her high school classmates and helped plan their reunions over the years. She maintained lifelong friendships from school and work that were very dear to her and became her extended family. She retired from New York State, where Donna worked for many years as the Delaware County Family Court Clerk. Following in her mother’s footsteps, Donna volunteered at the Delaware County Historical Society. She enjoyed reading, solving puzzles of all kinds and traveling locally in the car around the area - Fly Creek was one of her favorite trips. She also enjoyed catching up with friends almost daily at McDonald’s. However Donna’s greatest joy was her family. She would never pass up a chance to meet up with her daughter and grandchildren, either for lunch in Schoharie or making it to one her grandsons sporting events. Donna was a devoted mother and proud grandmother. She is survived by her companion of 40 years: Don McKee of Delhi; daughter: Karen Nolte of Watervliet; grandsons: Brian and Connor Nolte both of Watervliet; step-brother: Robert (Diane) Decker of Johnson City; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. Besides her parents and step father, Donna was predeceased by an infant grandson: Christopher Nolte; and step-siblings: Lois Ford, Rodney Decker, Ronald Decker and Grace Finch. Friends and relatives are invited to call on the family from 4-7PM on Sunday, October 29, 2017 at the MacArthur Funeral Home, 134 Main St., Delhi. Funeral services will be held at 11AM on Monday, October 30, 2017 at the First Presbyterian Church, 4 Clinton Street, Delhi with the Rev. Dr. Lisa Ruth Mays officiating, burial will follow in the Woodland Cemetery, Delhi.
