Doris J. Wentworth

Doris J. Wentworth, 77, passed away on Sunday afternoon, March 29, 2020 at Robinson Terrace in Stamford following a long illness. Born on October 17, 1942 in Stamford, she was the daughter of the late Leslie and Mary Jane (Whispell) Kelsey. Doris was strong person and would often share her honest opinion with family and friends. She enjoyed word searches and could often be found enjoying a TV program on the TLC network. She was married to John Alton who passed away in 1982 and was then married to Lee Wentworth, he passed away in 2002. Besides her husbands and parents, Doris was predeceased by a daughter-in-law: Adrienne; and her siblings: Donald and Dawn. She is survived by her children: Tina (Tom) Quilty of Cooperstown, John B. (Brenda) Alton, Jr. of Cooperstown, Amy (Kevin) Stitzel of Hamburg, PA and Jason Wentworth of Oneonta; nine grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; sisters: Harriet Raider of Hobart and Dorothy McLean of Schuyler Lake; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
