Elizabeth Larsen

Elizabeth C. “Betty” Larsen, 89, of Oneonta, formerly of Hicksville, Long Island, passed away suddenly on Sunday, October 21, 2018 at her home. Born on November 7, 1928 in Massapequa, Long Island, the daughter of the late Charles and Helen Lipp. She was married to Conrad Larsen, a union that lasted over 66 years until his passing in 2013. Following the loss of Conrad, Betty moved to Oneonta to be closer to her family. Mrs. Larsen was last employed as a legal secretary for Markotsis and Lieberman Esq. in Hicksville, Betty also worked in the business office of Trinity Lutheran Church in Hicksville. She was an avid reader and enjoyed gardening. Betty loved to cheer on Derek Jeter and the NY Yankees Baseball team. Her greatest joy was her family, she always enjoyed family vacations and getaways, she was a proud grandmother and doting great-grandmother. Besides her parents and husband, Betty was predeceased by her son: Richard Larsen; and a sister: Muriel Carter. She is survived by her daughter: Linda (Bruce) Burr of Delhi; granddaughters: Teresa (Brent) Patry of Oneonta and Caitlyn Burr of Portland, OR; great-grandchildren: Nolan, Connor and Haley Patry. Funeral services will be held at 11AM on Saturday, October 27, 2018 at the First Presbyterian Church, 4 Clinton Street, Delhi with the Rev. Dr. Lisa Ruth Mayes officiating.
