Elma Kirk

Elma Kirk, 68, passed away on Wednesday, October 5, 2016 at her home in DeLancey following a long illness. Born on November 28, 1947 in Oneonta, she was the daughter of the late James and Rose Hendrick. Elma was married to Robert H. Kirk on June 21, 1997, he passed away on April 6, 2012. She early in her working career Elma was a Licensed Practical Nurse, and later she worked for many years at Delaware Opportunities in Hamden, retiring in 2012. Elma enjoyed bowling and over the years, she bowled in several local leagues. She enjoyed traveling to the casinos and playing cards. Elma also enjoyed the companionship of her cat "Baby". She is survived by two sons: Kenneth J. (Ann Marie) Aikens of Delhi and Kirk J. (Amanda) Aikens of Schenectady; step-children: Robert D. Kirk of Marlboro and Cheryl Berardi of Skaneateles; four grandchildren: Conor and Logan Aikens of Delhi and Parker and Landon Aikens of Schenectady; a brother: Joe Hendrick of Wells Bridge; several siblings, nieces, nephews and cousins also survive. Friends and relatives are invited to call on the family from 4PM - 6PM on Tuesday, October 11 at the MacArthur Funeral Home, 131 Main Street, Delhi, where a funeral service will follow the visitation at 6PM with the Rev.
