Elwood L. "Sparky" Clark

Elwood L. “Sparky” Clark, 62, of Grand Gorge, NY, passed away on Friday, February 13, 2026, at his home.

Born on December 12, 1963, in Stamford, Sparky was the son of the late Elwood Y. and Ruth (Miller) Clark.

He worked many jobs over the years in both construction and logging.

Sparky was an avid outdoorsman; he loved to hunt and fish and be out in nature. He enjoyed playing cards, having barbeques and gathering with family and friends. Sparky was well known for his famous turtle soup.

Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his wife: Penny Clark; sisters: Paulette Mattice and Peggy Clark; and a brother: David Clark.

Sparky is survived by his siblings: Linda (Harry) Phillips of New Jersey, Helen (Ed) Alexander of Davenport, Jean (Wardell) Ballard of North Carolina, Laura Young of Gilboa and Valerie (Phil) Clark of Stamford; along with several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Calling hours will be held from 12PM until 3PM on Saturday, February 28, 2026, at the MacArthur Funeral Home, 15 Buntline Drive, Stamford, NY.
