Elyse D Collins

Elyse D. Collins, 63 of Bloomville passed away on Wednesday evening, July 5, 2023 at AO Fox Hospital in Oneonta following a short but courageous battle with cancer.

Born on December 13, 1959 in Fort Walton Beach, FL, she was the daughter of the late Harry Gilbert and Joyce Holmes.

Elyse was married to Roy L. Collins for over 46 years, the couple were married on September 15, 1977.

She was a homemaker and her family was her number one priority, Elyse’s greatest passion was caring for and spending time with her grandchildren.

Besides her parents, Elyse was predeceased by an infant son: Jeffrey Collins.

She is survived by her husband: Roy Collins of Bloomville; her children: Malinda (Nathanael) Kenyon of Bloomville, Debra Collins of Bloomville, Roy David (ReneeMary) Collins of Grand Island, Paul Collins of Bloomville, Stacey (Patrick) Collins-Acer of Bloomville and Chauntaull (Anthony Logan) Dunckle of Hobart; eleven grandchildren: Hunter, Hannah, Megan, Cody, Carter, Samantha, Paisley, Cora, Bella, Willow and Nox; sister: Marie Brown of Florida; brother: Ron Gilbert of Missouri; along with several nieces, nephews and cousins.

At Elyse’s request there will be no calling hours or funeral service, a private family celebration of life will be held.
