Genevieve L. Roe

Genevieve L. Roe, 79, of East Meredith, passed away Friday evening June 5, 2020 at Fox Hospital Nursing Home in Oneonta. Born on June 13, 1940 in Cooperstown, she was the daughter of the late Kenneth and Cora (Tyler) Mallory. Genevieve was married to Roberick Howard Roe, Sr., until his passing. She worked in the housekeeping department of the former Countryside Care Center in Delhi, and also helped with the operation of the family farm. Genevieve loved listening to music and was an avid reader. In years past she was talented baker. Her greatest passion was her family, she loved having family and friends visit and her door was always open to all, causing her to be affectionately known as “Mom” to most everyone. Besides her parents and her husband, she was predeceased by a son Herb. Genevieve is survived by four children: Kenneth Roe of East Meredith, Dennis (Debra) Roe of Susquehanna, PA, Kevin (Brenda) Roe of Oneonta and Crystal (Nathan) Morgan of East Meredith; grandchildren: Darren, Aaron, Heather, Taylor, Jessica and Amber; great-grandchildren: MacKenzie, Leah, Sadie and Sebastian. Private visitation will be held at Hall & Peet Funeral Home. Graveside funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm on Wednesday, June 10, 2020 at the Charlotte Valley Cemetery, West Davenport, Due to COVID-19 restrictions face masks and social distancing will be required.
