Geoffrey Haines

Geoffrey B. Haines, 65, of Delhi, NY died Thursday, May 21, 2015 at Focus Rehabilitation and Nursing Home in Cooperstown, NY. Geoff was born on February 9, 1950 in Paterson, NJ the son of Lt. Col. Aubrey Haines and Joanne (Whitman) Haines. He married June Smith Wangner on June 27, 1992. She predeceased him in 2012. After serving in the military Geoff settled in Delhi and drove truck for Anderson Trucking Co. He drove throughout the states and Canada until a truck accident 16 years ago. Geoff is survived by his mother Joanne Haines of Exeter, NH; step-daughter Dawn and William Conklin of New Windsor; stepson Philip Wangner of Poughkeepsie; step grandchildren, Cynthia Gallagher, Brian Gallagher, Krisen Wangner and Heather Voehl. Friends may call Thursday,June 11, 2015 from 1-2 at the MacArthur Funeral Home, Delhi, NY. Services and Burial will follow at Woodland Cemetery, Delhi, NY with Rev. Nancy Truscott officiating. Contributions are asked to be made in Geoff's memory to Delaware County Office of the Aging Senior Meals or Delhi Emergency Squad.
