FRISTENSKY George F., of Colchester, NY, formerly of Ridgefield, NJ, entered into rest on July 27, 2014, at home. George served 25 years as a Police Officer for the Ridgefield Police Department, and retired as a Lieutenant in 2006. George is survived by his loving family: his wife Susan, his sons George J. and Salvatore; his granddaughters Stella and Kayla; Mother-in-law Muriel Tarantino; brothers-in-law Michael Tarantino and Linda, and Robert Tarantino and wife Melissa; nephews James and Gary Wayne, nieces Jenna, Amanda and Emily; cousins George and Craig; and many other close and loving friends from Ridgefield and Colchester. He was predeceased by his sister, Janet. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in George's name may be made to the if American Cancer Society . Visitation will be held on this Saturday, August 2, 2014 from 4-8 PM at Blackley Funeral Home, 809 Broad Avenue, Ridgefield, NJ. Local arrangements are with Hall & Peet Funeral Home, Delhi.
