George Duane Ruland

George Duane Ruland, of Oneonta passed away suddenly on December 5, 2021 at Cooperstown Center.

Born on June 5, 1950 in Stamford, he was the son of the late Harold W. and Lena E. (Miller) Ruland.

George had a Bachelor Degree in Psychology from SUNY Oneonta. He worked for several years in the Oneonta area as a handyman, performing repairs and maintenance on rental properties.

He enjoyed reading science fiction books and science magazines. He enjoyed spending time with his family, often catching coffee or going out to dinner with his sister.

George is survived by his sister: Gloria (David) Hill of Jefferson; and a niece: Ariel (Nick) Bero of Oneida.

Graveside services will be held at 11AM on Saturday, May 21, 2022 at Jefferson Evergreen Cemetery, Jefferson, NY. A reception will follow at the Harpersfield Grange.
