Gerald "Skip" Greene

Gerald "Skip" Greene passed away on January 7, 2026.

He was born in Denver, NY on February 25, 1932.

In 1954 Skip married Shirley Barber, they were married for 71 years.

In his younger days he liked to work on his farm, square dancing and camping. After farming he was a truck driver for various local businesses, retiring from the Delaware County Highway Department where he was a dump truck driver.

Skip is survived by his wife: Shirley Greene of Denver, NY; three children: Suzi Greene of Denver, NY, Steve Greene of Roxbury, NY and Scott Greene of Glenford, NY. Gerald is also survived by six grandchildren and eight great grandchildren, as well as three nieces and one nephew.

In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Skip can be made to the Roxbury Fire Department.
