Gladys Young Wayman

Gladys Young Wayman, 82 of Hobart, passed away early Monday morning, May 25, 2020 at her home following a courageous battle with cancer. Born on December 11, 1937 in town of Fulton, Schoharie Co., Gladys was the daughter of the late Frank and Elizabeth (Stannard) Young. She was married to Joseph Wayman, Gladys assisted Joe in the operation of his logging company for many years. Gladys enjoyed crafting, cooking and baking. She also enjoyed making lawn ornaments and mowing and caring for her lawn and property. Besides her parents and her husband Joseph, she was predeceased by a granddaughter: Andrea Lee Allen; and one brother: Warren Young. She is survived by three children: Karen Wayman, Wayne (Arneta) Wayman and Clifford (Gina) Wayman; grandchildren: Daren Neal (Emily) Many, Melissa (Paul) Eckert, Sarah (Kevin) Hallock, Clifford (Danielle) Wayman, Jr., and Joseph C. Wayman II; great-grandchildren: Bennett, Clark, Lacey, Addy, Kevin, Jr., Avery, Riley, Sadie and Jessica; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Graveside services will be held at a later date to be announced.
