Harry Ray

Harry G. Ray, 76, of DeLancey, passed away at his home on Monday, August 13, 2018 surrounded by his family. Born on December 18, 1941 in Huntington, the son of the late Lawrence and Marion Ray. Mr. Ray proudly served in the United States Marine Corp. from 1960-1964. Harry was employed as a bulk mail supervisor with the US Postal Service in Ronkonkoma until his retirement. Harry enjoyed working on things and was a machinic at heart, he enjoyed fixing automobiles and machinery and could be the one that could fix anything. He liked to play cards, but his greatest passion was his family, Harry was a dedicated father and proud grandfather and great-grandfather. He is survived by his children: Kevin (Sandy) Ray, Richard (Jan) Ray, Jeanine Ray, Heather (Steven) Ray, Robert Schneider, Russell (Celena) Schneider, several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; sisters: Kathy (Robert) Jones and Bettyann Brown; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Friends and relatives are invited to call on the family form 3-6 PM on Friday, August 18, 2018 at the Hall & Peet Funeral Home, 134 Main Street, Delhi, where a prayer service and military honors will follow at 6PM.
