Hedwig Lech

Hedwig “Heidi” Lech, 95, of Bloomville, passed away on Friday, September 28, 2018 at Bridgewater Center for Rehabilitation and Nursing in Binghamton. Born on July 15, 1923 in Denkendorf, Germany, she was the daughter of the late Albert and Marie (Hammer) Schneebuger. Mrs. Lech worked for Chase Manhattan Bank in New York City and owned a boutique in New York City before an injury forced her retirement and she and her husband came to the Bloomville area. She had several friends in the area that have become family. At Heidi’s request there will be no calling hours or funeral services. Private burial will take place.
