Helen Havrish

Helen Havrish, 83, of Jefferson, passed away on Thursday, May 9, 2019 at Chestnut Park Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. Born on August 15, 1935 in Jefferson, she was the daughter of the late Andrew and Mary (Teiman) Havrish. Following her graduation from Jefferson Central School, Helen moved away from the area and later returned to family farm in Jefferson, where she enjoyed baking, canning, gardening, hiking and all that nature had to offer. Helen is survived by her brother: Robert Havrish and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by 6 siblings: Frank, Andrew, William, John, Marguerite and infant Peter. Friends and relatives are invited to call on the family from 11-1PM on Thursday, May 16 at the MacArthur Funeral Home, 15 Buntline Drive, Stamford.
