Helen Tyrrell

DELHI — Helen Tyrrell, 84, passed away at Robinson Terrace, Stamford, on Wednesday, Dec. 19, 2012. She was born Oct. 23, 1928, in Bovina, the daughter of James and Edith (Barnhart) Boggs. She was married to the late Maurice Tyrrell, Jr. A lifelong area resident, Mrs. Tyrrell worked for Delhi Telephone Co. as a switchboard operator. She belonged to First Presbyterian Church, Delhi. She is survived by a son, Stephen and Bonnie Tyrrell; a granddaughter, Christy Tyrrell, and grandson and his wife Derek and Deborah Sturdevant and their children, her great grandsons, Cody and Benjamin Sturdevant, and a son-in-law, Chuck Sturdevant. A daughter, Kathleen Sturdevant predeceased her. A service will take place in the spring with burial in Bovina Cemetery, Bovina Center.
