Helen Vasisko

DELHI _ Helen L. (Grant) Vasisko died at O'Connor Hospital on Aug. 20, 2012. She was born on Jan. 26, 1930, daughter of Harry and Elizabeth Grant of Hawley, Pa. Helen was a 1947 graduate of Hawley High School. She was employed at the American Red Cross of Stroudsburg, Pa., until her marriage to classmate Robert S. Vasisko in 1954. After raising her family in Delhi, Helen was employed by the Thomson Insurance Agency until retirement. Helen, fondly known as Doll by her family, is survived by her husband, Robert; two daughters, Jane (Peter) Hamilton of Delhi and Barbara (Daniel) Jones of Stafford, Va.; and six grandchildren, Peter James (Darcy) Hamilton of Norwood, Mass., Jessica Hamilton of Park City, Utah, Kimberly Jones of Orlando, Fla., Zachary, Alexandra, and Madison Jones of Stafford, Va.; and one sister-in-law, Delores Vasisko of Endicott; as well as several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents; two sisters, Margaret and Elizabeth; and brother, Harry. Calling hours will be from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 22, 2012, at the MacArthur Funeral Home, Delhi. Funeral Mass will take place at St. Peter's Roman Catholic Church in Delhi at 11 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 23, 2012. Burial will immediately follow in the Woodlawn Cemetery in Delhi.
