Helen So Wright

Helen So Wright, 75, of Jefferson, NY and Murrells Inlet, SC, passed away suddenly early Tuesday Morning, August 11, 2026 at Bassett Medical Center in Cooperstown, NY

Born on February 6, 1951 in the Philippines, the daughter of the late Tuah and Sy (Bian) So.

She was married to her husband, John E. Wright.

Helen was a gifted artist, often working in watercolors and oil paints, having sold several works over the years.

Besides her parents, Helen was predeceased by her siblings: Ciaoking So, Rosa So and Henry So.

Helen is survived by loving husband: John E. Wright; and her siblings: Be Guiock So, Tiong-sin So, Douglas So, Benjamin So and Anson So; along with several other family members and friends.

Calling hours will be held from 4-7PM on Thursday, August 20, 2026 at the MacArthur Funeral Home, 15 Buntline Drive, Stamford, NY; A prayer service will be held at 9:30AM on Friday, August 21, 2026 at the funeral home, followed by burial at Stamford Cemetery.
