Helene Rubak

Helene Rubak, 95, of Delhi, NY, passed away on Friday afternoon, April 24, 2026 at Robinson Terrace in Stamford, NY

Born on June 5, 1930, in Tracht, Germany, Helene was the daughter of the late Julius and Berta Rubak. She immigrated from Germany to Canada and then to the United States as a teenager.

Helene worked and lived in New York City and moved to Delhi about 25 years ago to be closer to family following the death of her husband Rein Hennupere.

She enjoyed flowers, gardening, nature, car rides and reading, however Helene’s greatest joy was her family, she loved getting together for family gatherings and dinners.

Helene is survived by her daughter: Elke Adamo and son-in-law: Frank of Delhi; three grandsons: Alex, Adam and Andrew, Adamo all of Delhi; and two sisters: Waltraut and Maria both of Germany.

Friends and relatives are invited to call on the family from 3-7PM on Tuesday, April 28, 2026, at MacArthur Funeral Home, 134 Main Street, Delhi, NY, where a prayer service will be celebrated at 6:30PM with Rev. Edward Golding.
