James Gorsch

DELHI — James K. Gorsch, 65, of Delhi, passed away unexpectedly in his sleep at home on Saturday, Feb. 9, 2013. He was born Sept. 13, 1947, in Shavertown, the son of Eleanor and Ralph Shaver of Andes. He married Donna Conklin on June 14, 1969, in Delhi, his loving wife of 43 ½ years. An equipment operator for the Village and Town of Delhi for many years he retired in 1995. He is survived by his wife, Donna Gorsch; two children, Terri Gorsch of Charleston, S.C., and Jeffrey Gorsch and his wife, Penny of Delhi; three grandchildren, Brandon, Elizabeth and Samantha, all of Delhi. He also leaves a brother, Richard and Barb Gorsch of Vernon Center; and many nieces and nephews; his mother-in-law, Winnie Bryden of Delhi; brothers-in-law, Donald Conklin and Dale Bryden, both of Delhi; and sister-in-law, Jerrian Cronin of Keizer, Ore. He was predeceased by his parents; his brother, Douglas Gorsch; his sister, Marylyn Tompkins; his brother, Bernard Gorsch; and nephew, Nicholas Gorsch. On behalf of Jim's request there will be no calling hours or funeral service and burial will be at the convenience of the family.
