James Krebser

James John Krebser, Jr., 73, of DeLancey, passed away unexpectedly at his home on Sunday, November 9, 2014. Born on May 15, 1941 in Yonkers, NY, he was the son of the late James and Betty Krebser, Sr. Mr. Krebser proudly served his country in the US Army, following his honorable discharge he was a self-employed contractor, until starting a 36 year career in law enforcement retiring in 1999 as Police Chief of the Town of Ossining. Following his retirement, James moved to DeLancey area, where he enjoyed spending time on his property, maintaining the landscape, working on his machinery, mowing, hunting, watching western movies and playing horseshoes were among his favorite pastimes. He is survived by his wife, Kathleen Krebser of DeLancey; children: James J. Krebser III and his wife Lisa of Sidney Center, Betty Joyce Bland and her husband Melvin of Wappingers, Jean Marie Krebser of Wappingers, and Kimberly Aristimuno and her husband Javier of Sarasota, FL; seven grandchildren; and one brother: Peter Krebser of Katona, NY Friends and relatives are invited to call on the family from 10AM until noon on Saturday, November 15, 2014 at the Hall & Peet Funeral Home, 134 Main Street, Delhi, where a service with full military honors will follow at noon.
