James D. Rogers

James David Rogers, 83, of Stamford passed away on Saturday morning, December 25, 2021 at Cooperstown Center Nursing Facility. Born on February 16, 1938 in Conesville, NY, James was the son of the late John D. and Emily Rogers. He served in the US Navy from 1955 until his honorable discharge in 1959. James was a self-employed carpenter and contractor. He is survived by his soul mate: Ginny Austin of Stamford; children: Jennifer Powell, Darren Rogers, Matthew Rogers, Jonathan O’Rouke and Fred Schaefer all of North Carolina; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; brother: William (Jane) Rogers of Freehold, NY; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
