Janet More

Janet Ann More, 77, of Davenport Center, passed away Friday evening, March 4, 2016 at her home surrounded by her family. Born on April 12, 1938 in Davenport, she was the daughter of the late Alan and Evelyn (Hilsinger) McCulley. She was married to Gordon G. More on October 6, 1957 in Davenport, he passed away on October 24, 2001. Janet worked for various local businesses including the former Grant's Department Store in Oneonta, Our Place Diner in Davenport and she retired as an Aide and Monitor for Birnie Bus Service of Oneonta. She enjoyed bowling, following NY Mets baseball, crafts, word searches, reading and gardening, growing beautiful flower beds were her specialty. Janet is survived by her children: Randy(Jennifer) More of Carlisle, Wes(Andrea) More of Esperance and Dean More of Davenport Center; nine grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; a brother: Ronald McCulley of Kansas; aunt: Anna McCulley; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. A celebration of life will be held from 12-4PM on Sunday, March 20, 2016 at Davenport Fire Department. Burial will be held in the spring at Davenport Cemetery, Davenport, NY
