Joseph Anthony Stock

Joseph Anthony Stock, 80, of Stamford, NY, passed away on Sunday, April 5, 2026 at AO Fox Memorial Hospital in Oneonta, NY.

Born on March 17, 1946 in Queens, NY, Joseph was the son of the late Joseph and Kathleen (Duffy) Stock.

He proudly served as a Medic in the US Army enlisting in 1963 and following his honorable discharge in 1966 continued to serve in the National Guard until 1969.

Joseph was a superintendent for Lincoln Savings Bank and then worked for the Israel Discount Bank in New York City, following his retirement he and his beloved wife: Sarah-Anne moved to Stamford. In his younger years he was a professional photographer working as a Copy Camera Man.

He enjoyed gardening and photography and was a skilled marksman, Jospeh often enjoyed target shooting with family and friends.

Joseph is survived by his wife: Sarah-Anne Stock of Stamford; children: Kevin J. Stock of Lindenwood, NY, Nora A. Stock of Stamford, NY and Anthony G. (Nikki Castle) Stock of Longmont, CO; grandson: Wallace “Wally” Castle-Stock of Longmont, CO; and a brother: John T. (Rita) Stock of Hawley, PA.

Calling hours will be held from 4:00PM-7:00PM on Monday, April 13, 2026 at the MacArthur Funeral Home, 15 Buntline Drive, Stamford, NY. A Mass will be celebrated at 11:00AM on Tuesday, April 14, 2026 at Sacred Heart Church, 27 Harper Street, Stamford, NY with the Rev. Paul Mijas celebrant. Burial with full military honors at GH Soloman Saratoga National Cemetery will follow.
