Joseph Frank Capitelli

Joseph Frank Capitelli, 87, of Tuscan, AZ, formerly of New York, passed away on Thursday, May 15, 2025 at his home in Arizona.

Born on July 20, 1937 in Corona, NY, Joseph was the son of the late Joseph Rocco and Dorothy (Restivo) Capitelli.

Joseph proudly served in the US Army.

Mr. Capitelli was married for 63 years to Camellia (Margiotta) Capitelli on November 22, 1961.

He retired as Chief of Sanitation for the New York City Dept. of Sanitation in 1992.

Besides his wife, Camellia;  Joseph is survived by his children: Andrew Capitelli of Arizona and Christine Capitelli of Flushing; two brothers: Anthony (Marsha) Capitelli and John (Marilyn) Campiglia; along with several in-law’s, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Calling hours will be held from 4-8PM on Wednesday, May 28, 2025 at the MacArthur Funeral Home, 134 Main Street, Delhi, NY.  Graveside services with military honors will be held at 11AM on Thursday, May 29, 2025 at Meredith Square Cemetery, Turnpike Road, Meredith, NY.
