Joseph S. Costa

Joseph S. Costa, 79, of DeLancey, passed away on June 21, 2021 at O’Connor Hospital in Delhi following a long illness. Born on May 2, 1942 in Manhattan, Joseph was the son of the late Santo and Rose (Giglio) Costa. He was married to his beloved wife, Maria Battaglia Costa for over 57 years. Joe retired as a Truck Driver from the USPS in Hicksville. Following his retirement the couple moved to their summer property in DeLancey. He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting, fishing, Scuba diving and really enjoyed his home in the Catskills. Joe is survived by his wife: Maria Costa of DeLancey; and several close friends both in the Catskills and on Long Island. A prayer service will be held at 3PM on Friday, July 2, 2021 at the MacArthur Funeral Home, 134 Main Street, Delhi.
