Joseph W. Tellerday

Joseph Willard Tellerday, 69, of Delhi, NY, passed away on Thursday, August 21, 2025, at Bassett Medical Center in Cooperstown, NY, following a brief illness and accidental fall.

He was born on November 4th, 1955, to Charles and Mary (Cornelisse) Tellerday, and grew up on a farm in Delaware County, NY. He was many things in his life, first a son and brother, then a serviceman in the army before becoming a husband and father. He married Kathleen (Vroman), and they had a daughter together named Katharine. Joe always worked hard to provide for his family and be the best father he could be. At his core, he was truly a good man with a sharp wit and a kind heart.

A very active man, he had his turn at a variety of work, before finding his calling in the medical field. Joe touched many lives during his nursing career. He was diligent and attentive, caring for the infirm and elderly, giving comfort to those who could not care for themselves. He was exemplary until his retirement.

Joe liked a good horror movie, a cold beer, and a cigarette. He enjoyed spending time outside and always had plenty of wisdom and stories to share.

He is survived by his daughter: Katharine and son in law, Gordon; his three grandchildren: Bruce, Harley, and Max; as well as his older brother: John.

Although no funeral services are scheduled, he will be missed and never forgotten. On to the good one, my friend.
