Judith Vandenbord Bauer

Judith Vandenbord Bauer, 80, passed away on August 7, 2026 at Robinson Terrace Nursing Home following a long illness.

Born on October 27, 1945 in Delhi, NY, Judy was the daughter of the late Eugene and Rae Vandenbord.

She worked for Delaware County, first in the Public Health Department and then in Personnel Department for many years, retiring in 2000. Judy was married to John Bauer in 1978, the couple enjoyed their retirement in New Hampshire, leading a life full of travel, church, friends and life on the Connecticut River.

Besides her parents, Judy was predeceased by her husband, John in 2022.

She is survived by her daughters: Susie (Tom “her favorite son-in-law) Little of Delhi, NY and Peggie Maxwell of Syracuse, NY; her two treasured grandchildren: Jason (Gillian) Little of Oceanside, NY and Kelsey (Dylan) Cole of Hobart, NY; great-grandsons: Jonah and Benji; sisters: Mary Garrett of Cortland, NY and Janice (John) Williams of Lyndonville, NY; nieces and nephews: Scott, Dan, Amy and Toby; and very special pseudo great-grandson: Matthew Linehan. 

A memorial service will be held at 3PM on Saturday, September 5, 2026 at the First Presbyterian Church, 4 Clinton Street, Delhi, NY with Karen Ogborn officiating. Burial at Bovina Cemetery will held at a later date.
