Judith Carr

Judith Isabel Carr, 79, of Franklin, formerly of DeLancey, passed away on Saturday, August 25, 2018 at Bassett Medical Center in Cooperstown. Born on July 22, 1939 in DeLancey, she was the daughter of the late Henry and Isabel Delameter. She was married to her husband of over 31 years, William T. Carr. Judith was a Licensed Practical Nurse working at various locations and retiring as a private duty nurse. She loved birds, flowers, gardening, sewing and quilting. Judith’s greatest passion was her family, she was a devoted wife, loving mother and a proud grandmother and great-grandmother. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by two children: Julie Margot Gloster in 2003 and James Abram Townsend in 1994. Judith is survived by her husband: William T. Carr; children: Joni Beth (Henry) Walling, Jon Andrew (Karen) Townsend, Jo Ellen Reeder, Joel David (Teri Sprague) Townsend, and Jennifer Nell Soules; 25 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and cousins. Friends and relatives are invited to call on the family from 5-8PM on Wednesday, August 29, 2018 at the MacArthur Funeral Home, 134 Main Street, Delhi.
