Judith (Mostert) Morgan

Judith (Mostert) Morgan, 87, passed away peacefully on December 24, 2025, with her family by her side at The Eddy Memorial Geriatric Center in Troy, New York.

Born Judith Lee Glover in North Hornell, New York, she grew up in Broadalbin, New York, with her mother, Mabel Jacqueline Yerex Glover, her father, Charles Philip Glover, and her sister, Suzanne. In her younger years, Judi enjoyed lifeguarding, cheerleading, and performing as a pianist at recitals.

Judi earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Elementary Education from State University of Oneonta, New York. Supporting herself along the way by waitressing at the White Holland House turkey farm, Judi’s determination and strong work ethic were evident in everything she did.

In 1961, Judi married James (Jack) Mostert and made Delhi, New York her home, where she spent her adult life raising her family and building a life rooted in kindness, hard work, and quiet strength.

By profession, Judi was a kindergarten teacher who believed every child deserved the chance to learn and succeed. Judi’s youngest child was born with Down syndrome, and she fought for his rights from the moment he was born. She also worked with the ARC of Delaware County to raise money to support people with disabilities—an effort that reflected her steadfast spirit and deep compassion.

When her children were older, Judi sold Avon, a role she enjoyed and one that matched her friendly nature and gift for connecting with people.

In 1997, Judi married Michael (Mike) Morgan. She also lovingly cared for her late stepdaughter, Kara Neer, and her stepson, Garett Morgan. Judi was a member of the United Ministry in Delhi and the Red Hat Society in Delhi and Largo, Florida, where she traveled during the winter months.

Judi is survived by her children: Bruce Mostert, Kelli Mostert, Stephen Mostert (Melissa Wakin), and Jaime Mostert; her grandchildren: Madison Kolis, Trey Mostert, and Taylor Cumpston (Dylan Cumpston); her sister: Suzanne Crawford; her sister-in-law: Elinor Mostert and many nieces and nephews. She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered for her devotion to family, her steady encouragement, and the care she gave so freely to others.

A funeral service will be held at 12PM on Saturday, January 10, 2026 at the Hall & Peet Funeral Home, 134 Main Street, Delhi. Friends and relatives are invited to a calling hour one hour prior to the service from 11AM to 12PM at the funeral home.

Judi’s family would like to extend their thanks to The Community Hospice for their care and compassion.
