Karen L. O'Leary

Karen L. O'Leary, 83, of Delhi, NY passed peacefully on Sunday,  May 18, 2025 on a beautiful spring day surrounded by love and sunshine.

Karen was born on January 4, 1942 in Amsterdam, NY to Richard and Norine Meed. She grew up in Amsterdam and Schenectady, NY where she met James O'Leary, who would become her husband of more than 61 years.

Karen attended The Mont Pleasant School in Schenectady, NY and SUNY Delhi where she became a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN). Many will remember her optimistic personality, kindness and smile from her almost 40-year career at O'Connor Hospital, or from her daily walks around the Village with her husband.

Karen and Jim had two children, Sean and Robin. During the 1970s and 1980s the O'Learys were active in many activities around the Delhi area.

Karen is survived by her husband: James O'Leary; son: Sean O'Leary and Grandson: Cary O'Leary of Chicago; as well as daughter: Robin and her husband Sam;

Sean, Robin, Sam and Cary will be present at the MacArthur Funeral Home, 134 Main Street, Delhi, NY on Friday, May 23 from 4-7 pm for visitation.
