Karen Stannard

Karen L. Stannard, 56, of Hobart, passed away early Thursday morning, July 5, 2018 at her home surrounded by her family following a long illness. Born on February 18, 1962 in Stamford, she was the daughter of William and Linda (Collins) Mondore. Karen worked for several years as a Licensed Practical Nurse at the former Countryside Care Center in Delhi. She enjoyed her spending time with family and friends, camping and loved her pets, including her K-9 companion, Faith. Karen was predeceased by her mother: Linda Mondore; and a sister: Kim Mondore Clark. She is survived by her father: William Mondore of Hobart; husband: Dominick Stannard of Cobleskill; step-daughter: Courtney Coffin of West Winfield; granddaughters: Haley, Hannah and Harmony; siblings: David (Evelyn) Mondore of Delhi, Anne Marie Stannard of Davenport and Tracey (Brian) Godfrey of Hudson Falls. Goddaughter: Shaina Mondore and several nieces, nephews and cousins. A funeral service and celebration of Karen’s life will be held at 1PM on Monday, July 9, 2018 at the MacArthur Funeral Home, 40 Cornell Ave., Hobart.
