Karl Wallin

Karl A. Wallin, 71, of Hobart, passed away late Monday evening, February 11, 2019 at Albany Medical Center. Born on July 22, 1947 in Yonkers, Karl was the son of the late Herbert and Dorothy (Ubben) Wallin. He proudly served in the United States Air Force from 1966-68, following his honorable discharge he worked for Phelps Memorial Hospital and then took a position with the City of Yonkers DPW, until he retired as supervisor in 2002. On March 21, 1970 he was married to his wife Lorraine. Following his retirement, Karl and Lorraine moved to Hobart. Karl was an avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed hunting, fishing and all that nature had to offer. He is survived by his wife Lorraine Wallin of Hobart; and his sons: Karl (Silvia) Wallin, Jr. of Richfield, CT and Stephen (Dee) Wallin of Hopewell Junction. A funeral service with full military honors will be held at 1PM on Sunday, February 17, 2019 at MacArthur Funeral Home, 15 Buntline Drive, Stamford with the Rev. Dottie Morris officiating.
