Katherine G. Scofield

Katherine Grace Scofield went to be with the lord on July 17, 2025.

Born on October 15, 1948, the daughter of Glenford and Eleanor Jersey. Katherine graduated from Treadwell School in 1967.

In 1981 she graduated from Delhi Tech with an Administrative Assistant certification. Katherine worked at the Delhi Infirmary for many years before doing what she truly enjoyed, being a homemaker and raising her children.

Katherine’s favorite pastimes included cooking, crafting, gardening and studying religion amongst many other hobbies.

Kathy, as she was known to her friends and family, was always ready with a smile and a pleasant word.

Kathy is survived by her husband of 43 years, Dale Scofield of Delhi, NY; daughter Laura and son in law, David Bryant of Cooperstown, NY; and son David Luquer of Casa Grande, Az; grandchildren: Kira (Cody) Ochs of Cooperstown, NY and Casey Bryant of Cincinnati, OH; her mother: Elanor Jersey of Meridale, NY; her sister: Suzanne Bahr of Indiana; her brother: George Jersey of Ohio, NY and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Besides her father Glenford Jersey, Kathy was predeceased by her daughter: Amanda Waite and a granddaughter: Amber Waite.

A service will be held at 11AM on Tuesday, July 22, 2025 at the Meridale Community Church, 55 County Rt 10, Meridale, NY 13806. Burial will be in Pine Grove Cemetery, Meridale, NY.
