Kathleen Toften

Kathleen "Kathy" (Garrison) Toften of Delhi, NY passed away peacefully with family by her side on March 12, 2026.

Kathy was born to Paul and Josephine (Wieronski) Garrison on January 17, 1948, and she was predeceased by her husband, Ernest (Ernie) Toften. 

She is survived by her son, Todd Rodgers of Houston TX, and siblings, Marie Schwarzkopf, Paul (Laura) Garrison, Teresa (Fred) Loveless, Stephen (Debra) Garrison, Martin (Carmella) Garrison, and Jo-Ann (Bill) Diamond, many nieces and nephews, and two step-granddaughters.

Throughout her life, Kathy was the smiling, joking, hard-working face of several customer service roles, including many years at the Red Carpet in Stamford, NY and businesses in Delhi, NY. Kathy loved birdwatching and naming the wildlife around the home she loved, and she enjoyed journaling about her interactions with others and the wildlife she observed. She also loved dark chocolate M & M’s and Breyer’s Chocolate Ice Cream both of which she believed were acceptable food groups to be substitutes for any other “healthy” foods.

As Kathy requested, there will be no calling hours and no memorial service. Kathy’s family extends their heart-felt gratitude to the nurses, doctors, and staff at O’Connor Hospital and to Helios Care.
