It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Kelly Daly, a beloved father, friend, and craftsman, who departed this world on July 3, 2026, after a long and courageous battle with pancreatic cancer.
Born on November 14, 1963 in East Nassau, NY Kelly brought light and laughter into the lives of everyone he met.
Kelly was the cherished son of Morton and Shirley Daly who preceded him in death. He is survived by his two beautiful daughters Kaitlin and Mackenzie Daly - who were the pride and joy of his life. Kelly also leaves behind his favorite and most beloved cat Lenore and countless friends who will deeply mourn his loss.
Professionally Kelly was known for his keen eye and dedication as a surveyor for many years. You could also find him at PICCS as the “bouncer” ! More recently he found his niche in his role as a custodian at Delaware Academy where his presence was cherished by students and staff alike.
Kelly was a man of many talents and passions. His craftsmanship was unmatched and his exquisite wire trees now grace the homes of his closest friends and family. His home was a treasure trove - from his renowned matchbox car collection to his numerous miniatures and knick knacks. Each piece was curated with love and displayed with pride - a reflection of a lifelong passion for collecting.
The family wishes to extend their heartfelt gratitude to all of Kelly’s friends who provided support and companionship during his final year. Whether helping with appointments, making meals, cleaning house or simply sharing time, your kindness brought comfort to Kelly and his family during this difficult time.
A private burial to honor Kelly’s life will be held in East Nassau, NY where family will gather to celebrate the remarkable man he was.
A celebration of life will take place at a later date - contact his daughters or Tracy Dugan for more information regarding time and place.
Those who knew Kelly will remember his kindness, his creativity, and his unwavering spirit. His legacy will live on in the memories of those who loved him and the beautiful things he created. He will be in our hearts always.
