Kenneth J. Jackson

Kenneth Joseph Jackson, 75, passed away on Monday, January 15, 2024 at Albany Medical Center.

Born on May 21, 1948 in Hempstead, NY, Kenny was the son of the late John and Birtha (Young) Jackson.

The family moved to Kerhonkson, NY in 1958. In his youth, Kenny enjoyed playing sports, especially Baseball. He was a Masters Level chess player, Kenny loved playing and teaching the game. He was also an avid card player, he enjoyed poker, rummy and Texas hold ’m, but most of all blackjack, and Kenny sure knew how to win.

Kenny was an entrepreneur, he owned and operated many businesses throughout his lifetime, the most memorable was his Mobile Service Station in Kingston, NY. In 2012 Kenny moved to Stamford and has resided there since.

Besides his parents, Ken was predeceased by his brothers: John and Thomas Jackson.

Kenny is survived by his loving and caring partner: Theresa “Terri Freer” Donahue; four brothers: William Jackson of California, Arthur Jackson of Florida, Richard Jackson of Kingston, NY, and Ronnie Jackson of Stone Ridge, NY; three sisters: Jackie Countryman of Arizona, Jane (Kevin) Taylor of North Carolina, and Dorothy Rider of Kerhonkson, NY; along with too many nieces and nephews to list.

A celebration of life and prayer service will be held at 11AM on Saturday, May 18th at the funeral home, followed by a reception.
